INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. extra-firm tofu
1/2 cup tamari or soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. nutritional yeast (optional)
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional or more for spicy)
1-2 tbsp. oil (depending on the amount of veggies)
Favorite veggies sliced thinly
DIRECTIONS:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350°.
2. Slice the tofu thinly and lay strips on a baking sheet.
3. Mix the tamari (or soy sauce), water, maple syrup, yeast (optional), cayenne pepper, and oil.
4. Pour mixture over the tofu.
5. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes, turning twice.
6. Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté veggies for 5 min.
7. Add tofu and fry until sizzling.
8. Put fajita fillings in a warm tortilla.
9. Garnish to taste!
